Active Membership, $275

Active members are graduates of accredited veterinary colleges, or veterinarians who have successfully completed the qualifications for practice in the United States in accordance with the Educational Commission for Foreign Veterinary Graduates. Active members may work in private practice, a college or university or in a corporate setting or have retired.

Veterinarians can renew on their own or veterinary practices, colleges/universities, or corporations/businesses may establish a master account to administer and pay for veterinarian memberships. There are discounts for master accounts with 10-19 members (10%) and 20+ members (20%). 

Affiliate Membership, $50

An Affiliate Member is a non-veterinarian healthcare team member that provides direct support to CVMA member veterinarians. Affiliate members might be Practice Managers, Office Managers, Receptionists, Veterinary Technicians, Veterinary Assistants, Kennel Assistants, Groomers, and those deemed eligible for Affiliate status by the Board of Directors. Affiliate members receive all membership benefits but cannot vote or hold office.

New Graduate Membership, Free

A New Graduate member must have graduated from an accredited veterinary college or successfully completed the qualifications for practice in the United States in accordance with the Educational Commission for Foreign Veterinary Graduates within the last 12 months. Candidates for new graduate membership must submit an application in writing to the Managing Director at info@ctvet.org. New graduate members receive all membership benefits and receive a complimentary membership until December 31 of the year following their graduation.

Student Membership, Free

Student members are currently enrolled in a veterinary college. Candidates for student membership must submit an application in writing to the Managing Director at info@ctvet.org. Student members receive all membership benefits but cannot vote or hold office.

Honor Roll Membership, Free

Those who maintain continuous membership throughout their careers can take advantage of a dues exemption with honor roll status. Honor roll status is granted to active members who have maintained membership in the CVMA for 40 years or more and have reached the age of 70. To be considered, please send an email to info@ctvet.org confirming that you meet this criteria. The request will be reviewed by the CVMA Board at their next meeting.

 

Additional Information

The annual CVMA membership term runs from January 1st - December 31st. Membership dues are not prorated.
